The Body Shop – Tea Tree Face Cleanser Review

The Body Shop – Tea Tree Face Cleanser Review

Sunday, 10 January 2021

I love tea tree, it not only has a nice smell but also has a lot of benefits. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. I used in the past to heal eczemas but I never used in a face cleanser.

I finished my first bottle of The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Cleanser and I want to share my opinion with you.

Review

The product comes in a green see-through plastic bottle with a screw black cap. This cap has a flip-top lid with a nozzle to dispense the right amount of product.

The cleanser is pale green with a liquid texture and running consistency product with smell to tea tree. The smell is strong, I like tea tree smell, but if it is not your case, you may not like the product.

I use it as part of my morning routine, most of the time in the shower. I apply a pea-sized amount of product over my wet face. It makes a good lather, which is very important for me. I don’t like too much the non-lather cleansers. After massaging all over the face and neck, I rinse it with lukewarm water.

My skin feels fresh and clean. I have dry skin and before using the product I was scared, as I thought the product could dry my skin and it could feel tighten. However, my skin doesn’t feel dry after using this cleanser. It doesn’t feel hydrated neither but the product doesn’t claim to hydrate the skin.

Normally I don’t have acne problem but nowadays, with the use of the face mask, I am having acne once in a while. This tea tree cleanser is helping me with this problem. This should be a good product for people with acne-prone skin, tea tree is indicated for that  problem.

I like the product. I finished one bottle and I already have the spare waiting to be used (I have other cleansers I want to try to review also, that is why I still didn’t open it). I am going to be using it as it became one of my favourite cleansers.

🔔 Do I recommend it?

Yes, I will recommend for people with oily skin or acne problems. For people with dry skin, as I have, I also recommend giving a try. My skin is very dry but the product works well. And if you buy the travel size you will only spend £3, which is not a fortune.
