My Favourite Eyeshadow Palettes 2022

I’ve already shared with you my favourite skincare products and makeup. To finish this series of posts, I would like to share the eyeshadow palettes I’ve used more this year. I have a huge eyeshadow palette collection and hence I may consider myself a collector. In this post, I am going to mention my five favourite eyeshadow palettes and why I love them.

Too Faced – Be My Lover Favourite Eyeshadow Palettes

Too Faced produced high-quality eyeshadow palettes, with highly pigmented shadows. They are normally easy to blend and build up and last all day on the lid. Most of them have a colour story that does not say anything to me. However, the Be My Lover eyeshadow palette captivated me from the first time I saw it.

The packaging is a metal tin with the brand name and palette on the lid. This lid also has a heart, as expected for a palette launched for Valentine’s Day. It is a doll-sized palette, therefore very handy to travel, and contains eight pans. Inside the lid, there is a good size mirror. By the way, I forgot to mention the rose smell even after a year after opening it.

The palette contains five matte and three shimmer shades. It is a very versatile palette. You can find a vanilla shade to set the primer and the basic shades to make the crease and the outer V. Then you have a couple of shadows to make a bit more colourful look. Finally, you have the three shimmer shades to make a sparkling look.

A limited-edition eight-shade eyeshadow palette.

For looks that love you back, you need Too Faced’s limited-edition Be My Lover Doll-Size Palette. With eight flirty shades to get to know, the palette has all the matte, shimmer, and metallic shades your lovely looks need. The travel-sized palette features a rich, high pigment formula that blends effortlessly over the skin, leaving nothing but true colour payoff and looks you’ll love.

Lacura – Naturals Nectar Favourite Eyeshadow Palettes

This is an eyeshadow palette made by Aldi. It is a very affordable palette that, unfortunately, you cannot buy when you want. That is the problem with most Aldi makeup and skincare products.

The packaging is a very plain metallic tin in gold. The front shows the palette name and the back has a sticker showing the ingredients. Inside you can find a mirror occupying the inside part of the lid. It has twelve pans containing 1.08 g each. The shades are brown and honey tones.

This palette seems to be a dupe of the Urban Decay Naked Honey. I don’t have Urban Decay’s palette and I cannot confirm if it is a dupe or not. I don’t mind, however, as I like this palette whether it is a dupe or not.

The shades are highly pigmented, buildable and blendable. There is no fallout when you apply and the wearing time is high. There are basic shades to make the structure of the eyeshadow look and a few shimmer shades to make your look ideal for a special occasion.

Technic – Raspberry Ripple, Peppermint Cream and Blueberry Pie Favourite Eyeshadow Palettes

I cannot choose one out of this bundle. I bought the three this year and I’ve used them frequently during the summer. Actually, I even made a post reviewing them.

They come in very simple and cheap plastic packaging (what else can you expect for £4.50?) and contain seven pans each. All of them are a combination of matte and shimmer shades. The pigmentation of them is amazing, with almost no fallout and they are all easy to blend.

Blueberry Pie is based on violet colours, Raspberry Ripple contains pink and yellow shades while Peppermint Cream has amazing green shades. I like all of them and I am not able to choose or recommend only one.

Huda Beauty – Haze Sand

What can I say about Huda Beauty’s eyeshadows? They are expensive palettes but they are worth the money you pay for them. You may or may not like the colour in the palette, but you are always impressed with the quality of the product.

This palette is neutral, a basic in any makeup stash. It is a palette which contains nine pans, as I said in neutral colours, all with a warm undertone. It contains five matte and four shimmer shades.

All matte and shimmer shades are highly pigmented and easy to blend. Because they are so easy to blend, that this is the palette I choose when I am in a hurry and need to make my eye makeup quickly. You blend these shadows in a couple of swipes without any effort. They don’t produce fallout and last all day without fading or creasing.

The packaging is plastic and there is nothing special to mention, except that the mirror occupies all the inside parts of the lid.

The ultimate wearable smokey eye comes to life with a series of creamy nude mattes, pink bronze metallics and a rose gold shimmer. The perfect palette for anyone who thinks a classic smoky eye is a bit too much for them.

Technic – Hot Foil Favourite Eyeshadow Palettes

I cannot finish this post without mentioning the Hot Foil Eyeshadow Palette. It is a very good metallic and foil palette. You need to use it in combination with other palettes or single eyeshadows, as this one contains only eight metallic shades.

It is a very good palette to have as complementary because it can transform any look from plain to sparkly. As I mentioned, it comes with eight metallic shades in different colours, like blues, pinks, violet, red, golden and green.

The pigmentation is very high and they are very easy to apply. You can apply them using your finger, which is typical for this type of pigment, but also using the brush if you want a more subtle hint of colour. There is a bit of fallout, they are foil shadows and this is normal. The pigments are creamy and feel amazing on the lid.

If I need to mention a con, it will be that the red shade stains the lid and you take quite a long to remove the red hue on your lid.

Technic Hot Foil

Technic Hot Foil Cream Pigment Palette. Super pigmented creamy foil formula makes creating intensely foiled make up looks a piece of cake!
