Empties 2021: Part I

Empties 2021: Part I Wednesday, 03 February 2021 I finished few products last month and I would like to share them with you. They are all skincare products excepting one, but that is normal. I use makeup every day but I have different products and don’t use always the same. Let’s go through what I finished: The Body Shop – Camomile Cleansing Balm I love it, simply. It melts my makeup really well, leaves my skin hydrated and smells amazing. I am using now one from a different brand I wanted to try and I have other brand’s cleanser waiting (I got it on one of my Advent Calendars). I am sure that I will re-purchase this one. By the way, they have it in travel size also. The Ordinary – ⍺-arbutin I am using it to reduce my hyper pigmented areas and I have already other one in use. I will wait until this second one is finished before…

Ultimate guide to the ingredients in cosmetics (I)

Some indigenous tribes from Africa and Australia used, and still use, clay to paint their faces and bodies. Nowadays in our occidental culture, cosmetic is a big business with brands creating continuously new products.   What a cosmetic is A cosmetic is a product designed to be applied to any external part of the body (including mouth and teeth) to produce a change in our external aspect. In other words, a cosmetic is a product that, when applied…

Caring your skin in winter Sunday, 03 January 2021 We are in winter and low temperatures, wind, rain and snow come with it. All these factors can affect our skin, but also what we do to keep comfortable and warm as heating, can damage our skin. We should give special care to our skin during these harsh months.  If you want to know how cold affect our skin and what can we do to avoid this damage, continue reading. How cold weather affects our skin Any change in environmental temperature affects our skin. Body temperature is controlled by a process called Homeostasis. There are different processes involved and I am not going through that in detail.
