My opinion about Aromatica Orange Sherbet

First Impressions: Big Jar, Big Potential? Aromatica Orange Sherbet

The packaging is certainly impressive. This cleansing balm comes in a massive pot, perfect for those who like a long-lasting product. It features a sturdy, white plastic jar with all the necessary information, like ingredients and usage instructions. An inner lid and a spatula are included to maintain hygiene. While the packaging feels luxurious, the sheer size makes it less travel-friendly.

Texture and Scent: A Gentle Embrace (Except for Eyes)

The balm itself has a soft, beige colour and a typical balm texture. It melts easily and spreads effortlessly across the face. The orange scent is pleasant but subtle—a nostalgic reminder of Seville for me—unlike some overpowering citrus products. Unfortunately, this scent became an issue for my eyes (more on that later).

Application: Effective Cleansing (With a Caveat) Aromatica Orange Sherbet

A small amount goes a long way with this balm. It efficiently removes dirt and makeup, including waterproof mascara. Emulsification is effortless, leaving no greasy residue. Here’s the catch: the balm irritated my eyes, causing blurred vision and stinging. This made removing eye makeup quite a challenge, especially as a contact lens wearer.

Results: Cleansed, Balanced, and (Mostly) Soothed

Despite the eye issue, this balm delivers fantastic cleansing. It leaves my skin feeling clean, soft, and balanced, without any tightness or oiliness. The balm seems to regulate sebum production, making it suitable for various skin types. Thankfully, the eye irritation disappears quickly after rinsing.

Ingredient Breakdown: A Short List with Some Concerns Aromatica’s Orange Sherbet

Apricot Kernel Oil: Offers anti-inflammatory and moisturizing benefits, plus a boost of Vitamin E.

Babassu Oil: Boasts anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

Limonene (from Citrus Fruits): A natural fragrance component with anti-inflammatory benefits.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol): a well-known antioxidant.

The Verdict: A Great Cleanser, But Not for Everyone

Overall, the Aromatica Orange Sherbet Cleansing Balm is a fantastic cleanser. It removes makeup effectively, cleanses thoroughly, and leaves skin feeling soft and balanced. The large size is a plus, and the natural ingredients add to its appeal. However, eye irritation is a significant drawback, especially for contact lens wearers.
