Beauty Advent Calendar, how to choose the perfect one

I know, it is still September, but different brands already launched their Beauty Advent Calendar. It sounds strange talking about Christmas in summer when we are still going to the beach. However, if you do not pre-order your calendar now you may miss it.

It can be quite overwhelming to choose the ideal calendar, a calendar which worth the money you will pay, as some of them can be expensive. But do you know what are the important aspects to look for when choosing an Advent Calendar?

In this post, I am going to tell you what itis important for me when choosing an Advent Calendar.

Single or Multi Brand Beauty Advent Calendar

There are two types of beauty Advent Calendars single brand or multi-brand. If you want to try products from a brand you never used, single brand Advent Calendars can be helpful. You will find a good range of products of the brand you want to try. For example, I am going to buy this year the Soap&Glory Advent Calendar. I never tried this brand and the calendar is a good opportunity for me to get to know the brand.

Multi Brand Beauty Advent Calendar

However, if you prefer to try products from different brands, you should go for a multi-brand Advent Calendar. This type of advent calendar comes with 24 or 25 products from different brands, from affordable to high-end brands, including skincare, makeup and other types of products.

My favourite multi-brand Advent Calendar is the Glossybox one, which I already pre-ordered.

Number of Products

Though it is not an Advent Calendar, the 12 Days of Christmas are part of this category. They come with 12 products and are ideal to open after Christmas Day when the Advent Calendar is over. I like them as a complement to the Advent Calendars. Among these types of calendars, I would like to highlight two of them, one is the benefit “12 Days of Christmas” and the other is the Revolution Beauty Advent Calendar.

The proper Advent Calendars come with 24 or 25 windows. Obviously, I prefer the 25 days Advent Calendars, the 25th-day products is normally amazing.

Price of the Beauty Advent Calendar

You can find everything from very expensive calendars to really affordable ones. The one you choose will depend on your budget. However, it is important to note that the quality of the products is not related to the price of the calendar, it all depends on what you like. As an example, Lookfantastic Advent Calendar is normally a very good one, it is affordable and comes with 25 product from all price range. However, the products it includes this year are not the best for me neither my favourites. Obviously, the does not mean that this calendar cannot be ideal for you.

Value of the product contained

That is one of the most important points for me. I see Advent Calens=dars as a way of trying new products without spending so much money. Therefore, I like calendars which are worth so much more than the price I pay. If you buy a calendar for £50 but products worth £70, the savings are not huge and you can buy the individual products you like during the year.

However, if you pay £85 and products worth over £450, as in the Glossybox Advent Calendar, then I think it is a good bargain, as you are going to pay around £3 for each product, which has an average value of £18.

I hope you are more clear about how to choose an Advent Calendar. Remember that there is no good or bad one, it all will depend on what you need and like.

I love beauty and skincare, try new products, and share my opinion with you. All my knowledge comes from years of experience and reading articles.
