Glossybox Advent Calendar 2025: £624 Value for £90, But Is It Worth It?

Every year, beauty advent calendars create a buzz as brands compete to deliver the most magical countdown to Christmas. Glossybox has become a staple in this seasonal tradition, offering high-value collections filled with skincare, makeup, fragrance, and more. This year’s Glossybox Advent Calendar 2025 promises to be a showstopper: 27 products across 25 days, worth over £624, all for just £90 (or £75 for subscribers). The question is: does it live up to the hype, or is it weighed down by filler products? Let’s dive into what’s inside, the standout stars, the misses, and whether it’s worth your money this year.

Glossybox Advent Calendar Highlights: What Makes It Exciting

Some inclusions genuinely make this Advent calendar sparkle:

  • Natasha Denona Glam Face Palette (Full Size, £60) – A premium palette known for its high-quality textures and wearable shades. A true luxury inclusion.
  • Avant Skincare Hyaluronic Acid Day Cream (Full Size, £97) – While Avant is often divisive, its price tag undeniably boosts the value of the calendar.
  • Commodity Milk Expressive Perfume (Full Size, £68) – A cult fragrance with creamy, musky notes that feels indulgent and niche.
  • Medik8 Balancing Toner (Full Size, £20) – Medik8 has a stellar reputation in the UK, making this a strong skincare addition.
  • Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm (Deluxe, £18) – A fan-favourite cleanser, perfect for those who love double-cleansing.

These inclusions alone make a strong case for the calendar if you’re looking for a mix of skincare and makeup classics.

The Filler Factor: Where It Falls Short

As with most Advent calendars, not every door hides a treasure. This year, Glossybox leans heavily into tools and lifestyle extras that may not excite everyone:

  • Tools overload: Two sponges, a sponge shield, and non-crease hair clips feel like stocking fillers, not luxury beauty.
  • Lifestyle extras: A candle and fragrance sticks, while lovely, don’t fit the “beauty” promise.
  • Less exciting makeup picks: A nail polish, a single lip liner, and a low-value lip gloss drag down the overall curation.

While these items help balance the product count, they don’t exactly deliver the wow factor you’d expect from a calendar boasting luxury.

My Honest Opinion

While the headline value (£624) is impressive, the actual usable value depends on your preferences. Personally, I find the Natasha Denona palette, Commodity fragrance, Medik8 toner, and Emma Hardie balm very appealing. However, the abundance of sponges, clips, and random lifestyle products makes the calendar feel less cohesive than other luxury options on the market.

At £90 (or £75 for subscribers), the savings are undeniable. However, if you’re selective about what you actually use, it may not be the most exciting option this year. For me, despite loving the Natasha Denona inclusion, I don’t think I’ll be buying it, too many filler products take away from the magic.

Who Should Buy Glossybox Advent Calendar?

  • Yes, if… you love trying lots of different beauty brands, enjoy a mix of skincare and makeup, and want big savings on high-ticket items.
  • Skip it, if… you prefer fewer, more curated luxury items, or if candles, sponges, and filler products don’t appeal to you.

Final Verdict

The Glossybox Advent Calendar 2025 offers unbeatable value on paper: £624 of products for under £100 is hard to ignore. But value isn’t everything. If the star products align with your tastes, it’s a worthy treat. If not, you may be better off saving your money for a calendar with fewer fillers and a stronger focus on high-end beauty.

For me, this year, it’s a pass.
