I am late this month with the subscription boxes because I got them quite late. I received this month the two Advent calendars I bought, Lookfantastic and Glossybox. However, I will open them only on the 1stof December and I will open a window each day. Both Advent Calendars are massive and heavy. I can’t wait to unbox them….. What I saw is very positive as I will be able to use them to store my makeup.
Moving on to the subscription boxes, the first I received this month was again Roccabox. The name of the box this month is AM-PM and contains morning, day and night products. The box is the typical recyclable pink one they send every month.

What is in Roccabox

Mudmasky – Blue Light Protection Mask, Full Size, £44

This is the hero product. This product protects against HEV-light coming from all type of screens. As for where I live hardly we can see the sun in winter, it will be a lovely option for the winter months.

Eyeko – Eye Liquid eyeliner, Full Size, £16

It is a vegan, long-lasting, fade-proof and smudge-proof eyeliner. The tip glides on smoothly for a carbon black finish.

I have always used a pencil type eyeliner but I am interested in trying this and see how it goes.

Grace and Stella – Lavender Body Lotion, Deluxe Travel Size, £4

This lotion is infused with a light lavender scent to help relax your mind and body. It is nourishing and protects the skin for up to 12 hours.

I have used it already a few nights and the smell it leaves on the skin is amazing. Skin doesn’t feel dry and it is lovely to sleep with it.

Hairburst – Volume and Growth Elixir, Deluxe Travel Size, £8.99

This product enhances hair volume and gloss, protects from pollution, UV and heat. It detoxifies, improves hair density and reduces hair loss. It is vegan, cruelty-free and it is sulfates, parabens and silicone-free.

BeautyPro – Pumpkin Infused Sheet Mask, Full Size, £4.95

This mask contains herbs that increase cell renewal, hydrate the skin and brighten your complexion. The sheet is made from natural bamboo. Pumpkin is really fitting with October…..

As every month, Roccabox included some treats on the box. This month I got:

Flawsome Drinks – Sweet and Sour Apple, £1.50. Made with “imperfect” fruit, helps to reduce the waste.

KIND – Breakfast Bar, £1.99. They are gluten-free, high in fibre and 5-grains.

You can buy this box from £10. You can get a 10% discount for your first box through the link to Roccabox.

Lookfantastic Beauty Box came a bit later this month. This edition’s name is “Retreat” and the idea is to make you feel cosy and relaxed as days become cooler and darker.

What is in Lookfantastic Box

Glov – Hair Wrap, Full Size, £14.99

It is that….. a hair wrap. It is very soft and absorbs most of the humidity of my hair. It is big enough to wrap all hair lengths.

Ecooking – Overnight Foot Cream, 30 mL, £8.10

This cream removes your dead skin and moisturises your feet while you sleep. It has eucalyptus and menthol to soothe and cool the skin.

ByTerry – Baume de Rose Flaconette, £14

This lip balm combines luxury and protection. It is infused with shea butter, rose flower wax and vitamin E. Nourish your lips while leaving a subtle shine.

Starskin – Smoothing Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Eye Catcher Mask, £4.25

Designed to reduce puffiness and appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark circles

BubbleT – Earl Grey Bath Tea, £5.99

Ideal for relaxing when you take a warm bath. It has a delicious scent and it is formulated to relieve any aches and pains. I love bath products.

BalanceMe – Bakuchiol Serum, 7 mL, £11

Bakuchiol is a plant-based retinol alternative. Provides all the benefits of retinol without irritation and sensitivity. Smoothens skin texture, enhances collagen production and the reduction of lines.

I heard a lot about bakuchiol and I intended to try for a long time. I was very excited when I found bakuchiol in the box as it is a very good opportunity to try it.

Price of Lookfantastic box start from £15. You can get a Lookfantastic Beauty Box with £5 discount in your first box from this link to Lookfantastic.

I was impatiently waiting for Glossybox this month but it took a while. Finally, I got it. The theme this month is “Once upon a time….” And there are two box options, both of them beautiful. I got the Enchanted Spirit box, but the other option is as charming as this one. They look like a fairy tale book. Actually, the leaflet this month says:

In a land ruled by Enchanting Spirits, the Beauty Tales (mystical folklore revered as holding the secrets to eternal beauty and youth) were shared far and wide across Glossytannia. One day, though, invaders conquered the land and dismissed these stories as Midnight Fantasy. They forbade individuals from writing or sharing them – but one brave Glossy did.”

Leaflet Extract

What contains this month’s Glossybox

Illamasqua – Hydra Veil Primer, Deluxe Mini, £10

Part hydrater, part primer. This product hydrates and smooths your skin. It has a gel texture. Plant extracts provide a calming and refreshing feeling, leaving skin fully prepared to apply your foundation.

BubbleT – Stardust Foaming Bath Powder, Full Size, £5.99

What a coincidence! It is the second BubbleT product I got this month. This one has an uplifting rose scent. It is ideal for the cold months.

LunabyLuna – Pixie Lipstick, Full Size, £15

It is a smooth formula with a creamy and rich pigment texture that stays hours on the lips. It will not dry, fade or settle into lines. I need to try it soon

The Beauty Crop – Stargazing Blush Duo, Full Size, £18

It combines a matte hue with a shimmery shade. You can apply them independently or use the shimmery one as a topper over the matte blush. What can I say about the packaging? It looks like coming out of a fairy tale.

Eyesential – Undereye Enhancer, 8 mL, £8

It works on the surface of the skin forming an extremely fine and invisible film, much like a “spiders web” which disguises all imperfections. This little miracle “trick in a tube” is the perfect “treat” for a non‐invasive solution to undereye problems.

You can get Glossybox from £11.75. It is the most beautiful box I’ve ever got, it makes me feel like a princess. You can get Glossubox with 20% discount in your first box from this link to Glossybox.

This month I got a limited edition box. It was the Roccabox Wear It Pink. October is the Breast Cancer Awareness month and Roccabox launched a limited edition box and will donate 20% of each box price to the Pink Ribbon Foundation. The price of the box is £12.99, includes 7 products, and it is worth over £100.

What this box includes

OhK! – Firming Caffeine Body Mask, Full Size

AfterSpa – Cleansing Puff, Full Size

Umberto Giannini – Curl Jelly, Full size

INC.redible – Loose Pigment Pot, Full size

Look Good Feel Better – Foam Applicator Wand, Full Size

Dr Botanicals – Seaweed Bio-repair Treatment Mask, Full size

Dr Botanicals – Hemp Infused Natural Moisturizer, Travel size

The content is not amazing and I already have some of the products from previous boxes (I will keep them unopened for a giveaway). However, I bought it not for the products but for helping the Pink Ribbon Foundation and women with breast cancer. Pink Ribbon Foundation does an amazing job, you can have a look at what they do at their website here.

Excluding the limited edition box, I do not have a winner this month. All boxes contain products I like more and products I like less. If I need to choose a winner, that would be Glossybox, but not for the box content, which is very good, but because I love the design of the box.

I love beauty and skincare, try new products, and share my opinion with you. All my knowledge comes from years of experience and reading articles. I have dry skin, Fitzpatrick type IV, warm undertone, and my main concern is hyperpigmentation. Keep in mind that what works for me may not work for you. We are all different and products can have different results on your skin. Want to talk? Email me at contact@irenebeautyandmore.com
