This month I got all my boxes by the 10th, but because of the short daylight time, I couldn’t take pictures until the weekend. I got an offer and I subscribed again to Birchbox for three months, so this month I am coming with four boxes. At the beginning of next year, I am going to make a decision about which boxes shall I continue buying. I think four is too much and I can invest the money in buying other products for review. But for the moment, let’s see the November boxes.
The first one I got this month was Glossybox. The name this month is “Makeup and Magic” and it is for people who never get enough of glitter, shimmer and glow. Though most of us will spend Christmas at home for the pandemic, we will celebrate on line Christmas dinner and we need to look gorgeous.
What is included?
Laplash Cosmetic – Magic Palette. Full size, £29
It is an eight eyeshadow palette in neutral tones to fit any complexion. It has light and dark tones, including a black shade, and matte and shimmer shadows. In the swatches, it is highly pigmented. Can’t wait to try on my eyes and see how pigmented it is, if it is easy to blend and if it has fallout.
Spectrum Collection – Limited Edition B07 Brush. Full size, £7.99
Why do we want a palette without a brush? This is a perfect and wise complement for the palette. It is a tall pointer blender brush with synthetic bristles and a flame shape. Good for blending, it feels soft.
Que Bella – Recharge and Restore Moonstone Glitter Gel Mask. Full size, £2.49
It is a hydrating mask enriched with recharging moonstone extract and glitter shimmer particles. In 15 minutes it leaves your skin bright and nourished.
Hask – Argan Oil Repairing Deep Conditioning. Full size, £2
It is a hair product with organic argan oil. It is strengthening and hydrating. Massage onto clean, wet hair, leave it for 10 minutes and rinse.
Generation Clay – Brightening Purple Clay Mask. Full Size, £19.30
It is a clay mask to help to rejuvenate dull, tired skin while lightening dark circles and pigmentation. Apply a thin layer on clean, dry skin. It claims that you should feel some tingling while it is acting. Once it starts to dry, rinse with warm water. I am going to try soon as I am trying to eliminate pigmentation. Maybe it can be one of my new favourites.
I am very happy this month with Glossybox, I am going to use all of the products. November’s box price strats from £11.75 and it worths over £60 and as every month you have a 20% off the first box using this link.
Lookfantastic Beauty Box
The name of the Lookfantastic box is “Firecracker”. It is though to embrace the colder evenings and have some cosy nights in. It comes with six products to help indulge your senses.
What is inside?
Philip Kingsley – Pure Colour, 20 mL
This product will leave your hair feeling soft, silky and shiny. It is a conditioning heat protectant that improves colour vibrancy. Apply over towel-dried hair and style. As I don’t like to use a hairdryer, I will keep this product for a giveaway which will take place soon, once I reach 300 followers on Instagram. If you don’t follow me, go and check my account. You can maybe win the set of the product I have.
This Works – Perfect Legs Skin Miracle. 30 mL
That is a lightly tinted serum enriched with vitamins C and E. It is designed to give some shiny tan to your legs but you can use all over the body.
Polaar – Ice Pure Micellar Water with Arctic Cotton, 50 mL
This micellar water removes all the makeup to bring moisture and hydration to the skin. You can use it on its own or as a first step of the double-cleansing.
Naobay – Detox Oxygen Light Cream, 50 mL
It is a moisturising face cream. Formulated with green tea, aloe vera and raspberry to regulate your skin moisture levels and protect it from free radicals. I love the wooden cap. And extra good point is that Naobay is a Spanish brand, same as me.
Lord and Berry – Line Glam Eye Pencil.
It is supposed to be pigmented, long-lasting eye pencil. It is something between golden and bronze. I have already a similar one and it doesn’t work great for me.
Nails INC – All Fired Up Nail Varnish
It is fuelled by charcoal and helps to increase the health of your nails. It is a lovely Christmas red in colour. It doesn’t need UV or LED to dry, so everybody can use it.
I will only use a couple of product from this box, other months come with products I like more. You can buy Lookfantastic Beauty box from £15 and you can get £5 off using this link.
This box wants to make each one of us the cover girl, or at least, make us feel like that. We could never forget we are pretty, but also pretty smart, pretty kind, pretty funny and the most important, pretty strong.
What is included in the box?
RealHer – I Decide My Destiny Matte Liquid Lipstick
It is a highly pigmented, ultra-matte lipstick which will not rub off or crease. It has a smear-resistant formulation and it dries down in 30 seconds. The name is a positive affirmation that you can use along the day. I love RealHer products and matte lipsticks. This one is first in my products to try this month.
ModelCo – Highlighting Shimmer Whip, Full size, £10.00
It is a creamy highlighter in champagne colour which looks more pigmented in the tube than the colour it will bring to your skin. You can use on cheekbones, brow bones, cupid’s bow or where ever you want to give a touch of light. I am not a fan of liquid highlighter, I may keep it for a giveaway.
Vitamasques – 3 Steps super Blossom Hydrating Facial, Full Size, £5.99
As per the name, it is a three steps treatment for your face. Start with a scrub, made with 10 flower extracts and crushed rose petals. Rinse and apply the 20 minutes biodegradable sheet mask, with 12 flowers and fruit extracts., hyaluronic acid and electrolytes. Finish with the hydrating hibiscus moisturiser with an amino acid complex.
Philip Kingsley – Finishing Touch Polishing Serum
Hair balm that makes smooth, frizz-free styles easy. Packed with provitamin B5 and vitamin A, it adds shine while nourishing your hair. Suitable for all hair type.
Birchbox Accessories – Pocket Mirror
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fiercest of them all? It’s obviously you. Put it in your handbag to remember who you are.
Some products are not bad, but, as usual, very small size products.
This month is “Lights, Camera, Relax” box. It comes with products that will rev you up and wind you down. I have been subscribed to Roccabox for a few months now and only this month I realised something. Inside the box and in one of the sides of the box, every month there are two different affirmations. This month are “Coffee in one hand, confidence in the other” and “There is no limit to how radiant, alive and irresistible you can be”. I am the worst……
What comes inside?
NIP+FAB – Salycilic Fix Concentrate Extreme, Full Size, £19.95
It is one of the most effective formulas on the market, as it contains 2% of salicylic acid. It is good to reduce spots or oiliness and I am going to give a try to see if it can help with my pigmentation problem.
SportFX – Sport Stamiona Mascara. Full size, £7.99
This mascara claims to give you 24 hours of smudge-proof waterproof stamina. No clogging, flaking or running down as the day passes. It contains sweet almond oil to help nourish your lashes. The packaging looks nice but let’s see how it works. I have other SportFX mascara that I don’t like too much.
Kandi Cosmetics – Pre Glow Up Mist. Full Size, £15
It is a glowy mist to use under your foundation to give you a dewy look or on top of your makeup to set it instantaneously. You can also apply on the bare face, legs, arms or wherever you need a bit of glow. I am scared of using as in the bottle looks like full of glitter particles.
Smashbox – Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Deluxe Travel Size, £6.53
It is a primer which blurs your imperfections, smoothes the appearance of your skin and helps your makeup to sit flawlessly.
Soaper Duper – Creamy Deluxe Shea Butter Body Wash. Deluxe Travel Size, £3.50
This is a creamy, warming, skin-nourishing treat to wash away the day. It contains shea butter to give your skin the shot of hydration that needs in the winter. There is a problem for me with that body wash, it is supposed to smell to vanilla pods and I hate the vanilla smell. That means I will not open it and I will keep for a giveaway.
Not bad the Roccabox content. I like the vitamin C serum and the primer. I will give an opportunity to the mascara and discard the body wash. I need to think about what to do with the mist. Roccabox this month worths over £50 and its price is only £10. From my link, you can get 10% off your first box.
This month my winner is Glossybox, I like all the products included. Lookfantastic and Roccabox are almost the same, I like some products and will discard others. Birchbox is not bad, but the problem is that the product size is very small, you don’t have product enough to get a real idea about if the product works for you or not.
See you soon in another post.
