We are approaching the end of 2022 and it is time to recap. From now until the beginning of January, I will use all the remnants of the different skincare products I opened during this year which never finished. I don’t think I will open anything new. I have, therefore, a clear idea of my favourite skincare products in 2022. In this post, I want to share with you my top 7 products, however, I will not follow any particular order. As they are all from different categories, I cannot say which is my top 1, as I like all the same.
Holika Holika Sparkling Lemon Foam Cleanser favourite skincare products
During the first half of the year, I have been using this foam cleanser. It is not the only one I like, I love all foam cleansers from Holika Holika. Last year I used the Green Tea Foam Cleanser, which I already reviewed in this blog.
I like this cleanser for different reasons. They leave my face clean without feeling dry or itchy, the amount of lather is amazing and I can use one tube over six months using it daily!!!!
I already bought other versions of this cleanser to try next year.
Avant Skincare 3-1 Hyaluron-Filler Collagen Eye Formula favourite skincare products
I have mixed feelings about his product. My under-eye area is normally dry, no matter what I try. However, with this eye cream, this area was hydrated. This is the first time I felt and saw my under-eye area hydrated. I was using this product during my night-time routine and the following morning my under-eye area was hydrated, smooth and glowing.
The product is a light weighted cream, which feels fresh on the skin and gets absorbed quickly. In a couple of minutes, the skin is ready for the moisturiser application. The product has almost no smell and lasts for a good number of applications.
I got this product in a Glossybox and that is the reason why I got it in a different packaging. I love the product, but the problem is the price. It is over £70 for 10 mL of products. I don’t know if I can afford to buy it again.
Skinchemist Peel-off Mask
I am not a fan of peel-off masks as I feel very uncomfortable when I wear and remove them. However, I love this one. You only need a small amount for all your face, it is easy to apply and dries quickly. The smell is deep but nice, it smells like roses and it remains on the skin up to the following wash.
It is easy to peel off. I hate when you get small bits of peel-off masks everywhere. I sometimes find masks even in my hair. However, when I peel off this mask I can get all the product off my face.
My skin feels soft and smooth and looks glowy and healthy. You can read how this product performs in the review I posted on this blog.
The normal price is quite expensive, but I will buy it again if I can get it at a reduced price, I added it to my wish list so Lookfantastic will send me notifications when the price changes.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cleanser
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cleanser is another of my favourite cleansers which I already reviewed. If you have dry skin you will love this product. This gel cleanses your skin but hydrates at the same time. It is a gel-textured product which lathers so well. One pump is enough to cleanse the face and, therefore, it lasts a long time.
It is also easy to rinse off, it does not leave any residue or sticky or oily face after use. It feels very fresh on the skin.
I already have a spare to use when the one I have in use now is over.
Rituals The Ritual of Ayurveda Hand Balm
This is the first Rituals product I’ve ever tried. Now, I am addicted to Rituals and bought almost all the Rituals of Ayurveda range.
What can I say about the smell? It is so relaxing….. I don’t think it has sandalwood in the ingredients, but I get this smell from this product. It has a spiritual smell, like my meditation room…
The hand cream is amazing. I hate creams which leave my hands oily as I need to continue working after applying the cream. This one is absorbed quickly and leaves my hands soft and hydrated until the next application.
Now I would like to try other ranges of Rituals to see if they are as good as the Ritual of Ayurveda.
Origins Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion favourite skincare products
I started using this product recently but I can say it is one of my favourite skincare products this year. I have a travel-sized sample I got last year in an Advent Calendar. That is my first time using something from Origins, and I loved it.
It is a light cream which leaves my skin plumped, hydrated, soothed and healthy. I am using it as part of my night-time routine between my serum and the moisturiser.
I don’t want to say too much about this product as I am going to review it soon. What I can assure is that I am going to buy the 100 or 200 mL size before my sample is over.
The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
This product is one of my favourites year after year. During the autumn and winter months, it is my favourite peeling solution. I don’t want to use it during summer as it has a high concentration of hydroxy acids and I don’t want to expose my skin to the sun after using them.
I tried the first time because I saw it on Instagram and something looking like blood attracted me. Now I can’t stop using it. I feel my skin needs it every other week.
I apply it over the face, avoiding lips and under the eye area, and I leave it for 10 minutes only. After that time, I rinse it deeply with warm water and my skin looks amazing. It is soft, and smooth, all the textures are gone and looks young, glowing and healthy.
There are other brands now which sell similar products. I may need to try to see if they are as good as this one. The Ordinary AHA + BHA is a cult product.
These are my top favourite skincare products this year. I’ve used other products which I also love but these seven are the products I will use over and over if I can. Have you ever tried any of them? Which are your favourite skincare products this year? Let me know in the comments.
