After three months of lockdown because of the coronavirus crisis, the situation starts to come back to normal slowly. Post services are not overloaded and the shops are opening with some restrictions. I have been most of this time buying only essential items as food, hygiene and cleaning products and pet’s supplies for Luna. At the beginning of the month, I started to make some online shopping and last week I could finally go to the shopping centre.
I need to be honest and realistic. I bought all the skincare and makeup I needed but I was very excited with my first shopping in few months (last time I went shopping was before Christmas) and I bought lots of things I don’t need but I fancy. I am very excited to share with you what I bought.
I am going to start with the orders I placed online. By the end of May Revolution Beauty, more specifically I Heart Revolution, launched the new Tasty Peach collection. There are different type of products but the peach highlighter and the liquid lipstick attracted my attention. Anyway, I wanted an orange lipstick for long time…… I ordered them together with Strobe highlighter, which has been in my wish list for ages and the Unicorn eyeshadow palette because it was reduced price. There was a big story with this order, you can read it in my previous post HERE, but I finally got my full order (with an extra product).
I need to try the peach highlighter; I have lots of them and did not have the opportunity to try this new one yet. Eyeshadow palette is good, nice and pigmented shades. I love the liquid lipstick; I have the shade Melba. It is a beautiful orange, which applies very easy and last long time on your lips. I am preparing a full review of this product. The baking powder are not bad, though I am not fan of setting powders because of my dry skin. Strobe highlighter was as good as I expected.
I placed other online order with Notino. I was looking for vitamin C and α-hydroxiacids serums, I wanted The Ordinary AHA 30% and BHA 5% serum, but was out of stock in every shop. I ordered two serums, VitaminC serum and Mandelic Acid serum from Delia. Some time back I bought the Foot Cream for Diabetics from Ziaja. I like a lot and I am using it now. I am not diabetic but my mum is and I wanted to try that cream to see if I could recommend to her. I am going to recommend it but even more, I ordered a pot for her and I ordered the Foot Cream from the same collection (but not the diabetic one) for me. The packaging is different and I think it is easier to use. I want to check if they perform as the diabetic version does. To reduce delivery charge I ordered the Prime and Fine Fresh it Up primer from Catrice and two concealers, the Liquid Camouflage High Coverage in the shade 015 Honey from Catrice and the Camouflage+ Matte in the shade 40 Medium Fawn from Essence.
By the middle of the month, I got a mail from Justmylook to inform me that The Ordinary AHA 30% and BHA 5% was in stock. I quickly ordered, it was a priority on my wish list. It was the first time I placed an order in Justmylook and I am sure I will do in the future. I only bought the peeling solution but they did not charge any delivery cost. They sent it quick; it took only 2-3 days in being at home.
The face cleanser I was using was almost over and I needed a new one. The one I was using was Simple Facial Cleanser but, although it is good for my morning routine, it is not good enough for my night cleansing as I normally wear makeup. I heard a lot about L’Oreal Fine Flowers for dry skin and I decided to try it. An advantage of using this cleanser is that you can buy it in your grocery supermarket and you do not need to do anywhere else to get it. I got mine while doing my weekly shopping in Sainsbury’s.
Finally, I watched couple of videos in Youtube about the new Lidl Collection Skin Foodies and wanted to try some of their products. I heard both positive and negative reviews and I wanted to try by myself. Not so many product were in the Lidl near me. I could get the papaya Shower Gel, Body Serum with Green Coffee and the Hand Cream with Green Tea. You can check all the products in this collection HERE. I am using the products I got now and I will be writing a review soon.
That is all for this month. It is not too much considering for how long all shops have been closed and the difficulties on the deliveries. From this haul, I am planning to write a review about the Tasty Peach lipstick, Delia Mandelic Acid Serum, Ziaja Foot Cream and Skin Foodies Collection. If you want to read a review about any other product let me know in the comments and I will do.
What did you buy last month?
