Biobalance Magic Touch Review

I recently received a PR package from AmiRose London containing some BioBalance products, a lash serum, a hyaluronic acid serum and the 3-in-1 Magic Touch. The latest is supposed to be a primer, concealer and foundation all in one. I was really intrigued about if the product worked or not and I quickly tested it. In this post, I am going to review Biobalance Magic Touch.

My thoughts about Biobalance Magic Touch

About the packaging

The pack is a round pot made of plastic. The outside part is transparent, but the inside has a layer of golden colour which makes the pot looks like that colour. It is closed with a screw lid in rose gold. The pot has the name of the brand and the product printed in black letters. You can also read the directions in English and in another language that I am not able to identify.

After opening the lid, you can see a protective plastic cover, which makes the pot very hygienic. There are 30 grams of product in the pot. I had very good feelings after opening the product for the very first time.

About the texture

The product is brown and at the first sight, it looks quite dark for my skin tone. It does not have any smell and the texture seems to be something between jelly and cream. When you move it, it shakes like pudding.

However, the touch feels completely different. This product has a texture that is very hard to define. It is something creamy, tending to mousse, which feels like a blurring primer when you apply it to the skin. I feel like it has some sort of silicone touch. It does not feel uncomfortable on the skin at all.

Bioblanace Magic Touch Pigmentation

The first time I used it, I applied it as suggested on the pack, with my fingers. That is not something I  normally do. I did not use any primer as this product claims to be primer, foundation and concealer all in one.

It has medium buildable coverage. The first layer covered well my skin. However, it was not enough to hide my dark spots. I applied a second layer to my dark spots area and the product almost covered them completely. I should say that none of the foundations I tried in the past covered the dark spots completely.

About the application

The product is very easy to apply with fingers. It blends really well on the skin and the most important thing is the product really matches my skin tone. I was really surprised. This product claims to adapt perfectly to any skin tone. That is something very complicated as it is not the same as fair skin as dark one. However, it was perfect for my skin tone though I thought it was going to be dark. Just for your information, my skin colour corresponds to a type IV on the Fitzpatrick Scale.

It has a matte finish, however, it looks natural. My skin looks flawless after using the product and I don’t have any problem when I apply other products like blush or bronzer on top, whether they are cream or powder textures.

I also applied the product a few times using a brush and sponge. I am not a fan of applying products with sponges, as I like high-coverage products. It is not surprising as I don’t like how the product looks when I use a sponge.

It looks ok when you apply it with a brush, but it does not look as nice as when you apply it with your fingers. I think that this product needs the warmth of the fingers to melt and give a flawless application with amazing results.

About the Lasting Power

The product sets well on the skin. It dries quickly after applying and it does not leave any sticky or oily feeling that I hate. As I mentioned already, once set, the product allows an easy application of other products onto it. You can easily apply face product in any texture (powder, cream or liquid) without moving the foundation or getting patches.

My skin is dry, and I normally try to avoid the use of setting powders. This product lasts all day on my skin without fading, creasing or patching without the use of setting powder.

I don’t need to re-apply the product during the day, at least for now, when temperatures are still low. I should see how this product behaves in summer when days are hot and our face sweats more. If you want to know how the product behaves in summer subscribe to the newsletter to not miss the post edit.

I feel the product is comfortable all day. Some product feels light after application but starts to feel heavy after a few hours. That does not happen with this product. It feels lightweight from morning to night.

What I don’t like about Biobalance Magic Touch

Obviously, nothing is perfect and there is something I don’t like about this product. The main problem I found is that, as this product is foundation and concealer all in one, it does not allow the application of different shades in different areas.

I like to apply the concealer in one shade below my skin and foundation tone to illuminate the dark circle area and this product does not allow that.

In summary, I like the product. It is a very good product for everyday makeup. It has good coverage, blends well and it is easy and quick to apply. I would not use it for more elaborate makeup as it does not allow the application of different shades.

It adapts well to my skin tone and lasts all day on my skin. Obviously, I don’t know if the product will adapt well to fair or dark skin tones or if it will last a long time on oily skin. But it is ideal for my skin tone and type.

Pros

  • One product is a primer, foundation, and concealer at the time
  • Do not need any tool to apply
  • Easy and quick application
  • Medium, buildable coverage
  • Tone adapts well to my skin tone
  • Lasts a long time without using setting powder

Cons

  • Same shade for the areas on the face
  • May not adapt well to fair skin
  • Not ideal for elaborate makeup looks

Do I recommend it?

I do recommend this product for everyday makeup if you have medium to dark-medium skin tone and your skin is dry or normal.

Otherwise, I recommend reading other reviews to see how the product works for people with fair and oily or combination skin.
